What works well in a fundraising sprint

It’s a question we hear all the time:
"How do I make sure my fundraiser succeeds?"

At Indeygo Fundraising, we have 30 years of fundraising experience and we understand that success looks different for every fundraising group. Whether you’re a sports team trying to raise money for travel expenses or a gymnastics club wanting to buy new equipment, our tips can help you find success in no time.

Fundraise with a great product

Set yourself up for success by choosing the best product for your fundraiser. Cookie Dough is a winning fundraising product for most groups, especially scoop-and-bake programs.

(Find out why cookie dough works so well for fundraising!)

Indeygo offers some of the highest profit margins in the game, so when you partner with us, you can be sure that every sale is making you as much money as possible.

Each bag of cookie dough you sell makes you at least $9. If 20 participants sell 15 tubs each, you’ve raised $2,700 for your group. If 40 participants sell 12 tubs each, you’ve raised $4,440 for your group. (Profit margins increase with higher sales quantities!)

With Indeygo's Scoop & Bake Cookie Dough, West Wind Gymnastics raised over $11,200 in just 4 weeks!

Group size, team engagement, and motivation all help to boost sales, and West Wind Gym had plenty of all three! As a not-for-profit organization, all funds raised were reinvested directly back into their programs.

Does Cookie dough not quite work for you? No worries! Check out our other great products, including Rocky Mountain Soap, Chocolate, Coffee, and Tea—all from local Canadian businesses!

Plan your fundraiser around your specific goals

We’ve supported groups who raise thousands of dollars, but your fundraiser should meet your unique goals. You don’t need to raise tens of thousands when that’s not what your team needs.

The McKenzie United Soccer Club Warriors raised $2,300 in three weeks

Once you know what your fundraising goal is, you can build your fundraiser towards that target. How much money do you need to raise? How many people do you have to help you? Is there a specific deadline for your campaign?

Despite being a smaller group, the MUSC Warriors soccer team had a clear fundraising goal of covering tournament travel expenses.

Pro tip: set a campaign timeline that will maximize sales and minimize fundraiser fatigue. We find that 3-4 weeks is optimal for a successful fundraiser.

The best way to maximize your success is to take advantage of offers like free shipping. Whether it's meeting a free shipping minimum or registering during limited-time offers like our 30th Anniversary Special, taking shipping fees out of the equation keeps more profits in your pocket.

Be flexible and get creative!

Sometimes, out-of-the-box thinking can create new opportunities. If you have a small group and don't think you can meet the minimum order quantities, consider joining forces with another group. There's always a chance that another group or team in your organization or community would want to run a collaborative campaign.

This does require some additional planning, so make sure to talk to us first to make sure your combined fundraiser is tracked correctly.

The Juan de Fuca Minor Hockey Association combined forces across six teams to raise over $5,000 in three weeks!

By planning a multi-team campaign, the Juan de Fuca Minor Hockey Association qualified for free shipping AND increased profit margins. That's what we call a win-win!
